SHOT was founded to bring together the people and the associations who depend on, and care deeply about, Tasmania’s outdoor way of life. We represent shooters, hunters, farmers, fishers, and outdoor enthusiasts - people who understand that responsible ownership, sustainable land use, and a strong regional community are worth protecting.
We work constructively with legislators, agencies and the wider community to ensure our members’ voices are heard - fairly, credibly and respectfully. We believe that practical, evidence-based policy is the foundation of a community that can thrive for generations to come.
