A Significant Milestone: The Petition Has Been Tabled

A Significant Milestone: The Petition Has Been Tabled banner image

The parliamentary petition has now officially been tabled, marking a significant milestone for Tasmania's shooting, hunting and outdoor communities. We've also been informed that this has become one of the largest and fastest-growing petitions seen in recent Tasmanian parliamentary history, particularly for a grassroots community-driven initiative formed in such a short period of time.

We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported Shooting, Hunting and Outdoors Tasmania since its formation. The response and momentum so far has honestly exceeded expectations.

Since forming, we've been working tirelessly behind the scenes to position SHO Tasmania in a way that allows us to genuinely support, represent and help give a voice to Tasmania's shooting, hunting and outdoor communities moving forward. We're also pleased to confirm that we are engaging in discussions with the Tasmanian Labor Party, with plans to continue conversations in the coming weeks. We believe constructive conversation and proper community representation are important moving forward.

This is only the beginning for SHO Tasmania. We have big plans, a growing supporter base, and a strong vision for ensuring our community has a clear, professional and united voice into the future. Tabling the petition represents not just a procedural milestone, but validation that Tasmania's outdoor community deserves to be heard and represented constructively in the policy-making process.

If you're a business, club, organisation or individual who would like to get involved, collaborate, support the movement, or simply share ideas or feedback, we'd genuinely love to hear from you. Contact us at 📧 shotasmania@gmail.com. We also have another media release coming next week outlining more about what we're working on and what's next for SHO Tasmania.

Thank you again for all of the support so far.
